There’s an array of delicious food and drink local to the Gloucester area. Gloucester Old Spot sausages are perfect for a casual BBQ with their succulence and distinctive flavour. Cheese boards are always popular as a late evening snack at weddings. The mellow Double Gloucester is the ideal addition to any cheeseboard, made with the milk from local cows.
On the sweeter side, Winstones Ice Cream made in Stroud is a fun idea. Bring an ice cream van into the outdoor space at your venue, from our experience this is loved by all ages and provides some excellent photo opportunities. Over Farm Catering can use all of these local ingredients, including those grown on the farm, with whatever menu you desire.
Local alcoholic drinks are perfect for that wedding day tipple. We love Sibling Gin, produced just down the road in Cheltenham. Triple distilled and sold in a variety of flavours, there’s something for everyone. We sell Sibiling Gin behind the bar at Over Barn, the Strawberry and Black Pepper flavour is a firm favourite.
We couldn’t forget our friends at Gloucester Brewery, a local supplier who really care about their environmental impact. We sell their popular New England IPA at Over Barn.

The Surroundings of Over Barn
The Gloucestershire countryside is what makes the county so special. Gloucester is a city surrounded by miles of fields, forests and hills. With just a few steps out of the barn you can see historic Gloucester Cathedral in the distance.
Over Barn is located at Over Farm, a working farm in the heart of Gloucester. One of the best things about getting married here is the unique photo opportunities. Our couples often take advantage of the fields, farming equipment and animals as fun additions to their photographs.
Local Styling
Over Farm have a longstanding relationship with Ravenshill Flower Farm, why not get your wedding flowers from the fabulous local supplier? From April to October they provide fresh flowers and foliage and dried flowers all year round.
Incorporate nature into your styling. We love the use of local pinecones and autumn leaves to upgrade your tablescapes. If using candles or supplying favours, consider buying them from a small Gloucester business to help the local economy.
Post-Wedding Activities in Gloucester
If some of your guests are coming from afar they may want to spend a little longer in the Gloucester area and there really is so much for them to do.
