Over the years we’ve seen some amazing table decorations, we thought we’d share some of our favourite ideas. From classy Halloween centerpieces to jar of biscuits, there’s so many unique options to take inspiration from.

Seasonal Décor

Whatever season your wedding is in, it’s a fun idea to incorporate it into your table decorations. One of our favourite examples of this is during an Autumn wedding we held at the Barn. Centerpieces were made from carved pumpkins, filled with autumnal flowers. Smaller pumpkins with tealights surrounded this, adding a cosy touch.

A Pop of Colour

Why not move away from that classic neutral palette and add pops of colour? Combining vibrant shades adds to the joyful vibe of the day and looks brilliant in photos. We had one groom who handmade some gorgeous origami which hung around the Barn, subtly adding bursts of colour with a lovely personalised touch.

Jars of Biscuits

This one was a little different, but we loved it! One of our couples named each table after their favourite types of biscuits. They filled jars with these and added them as centerpieces, they were really popular with the children, we’d never seen anything like this before! If biscuits aren’t your thing, why not use sweets, chocolate or even crisps?

Funky Plants

Flowers are the obvious option when it comes to table decorations, but different types of plants can work just as well. We’ve seen so many funky takes on plants from potted herbs to different types of cacti. You could even experiment with a woodland vibe, mix different sizes and colours of forest-like leaves to keep it interesting. Pinecones and lanterns with tealights would be a beautiful addition to this theme for autumn or winter.

Historical Themes

If you and your fiancé are into history, carry this through into your table decorations. At a previous wedding, a Medieval theme paired perfectly with the barn. Make it authentic, forget wine glasses and provide goblets for your guests to drink out of. Tall candlesticks, lots of ivy and wooden plates add to the ambience.

Over Barn is a versatile venue which looks stunning however it is styled. The rustic backdrop provides a blank canvas for our couples to add unique touches which are completely personal. We’d love you to pop by with your fiancé and take a look, get in touch to book a viewing.
