Weekday weddings help couples benefit from wider availability, reduced costs and more. We’ve come up with 5 reasons why we think every couple should opt for a weekday wedding.
1) More Availability
If your dream venue is already booked up for weekend dates, consider asking them about their weekday availability. It’s more likely they’ll have space for you, plus you won’t have to plan so far in advance so you can be more spontaneous.
The same goes for suppliers. Your ideal photographer might have a full weekend diary two years ahead but they’re likely to be available to shoot your weekday wedding.
2) It’s Cheaper!
Generally, weekdays are considered to be off-peak with the benefit of cheaper prices. Again, suppliers will have reduced price lists too! If you’re a bride on a budget this could work out really well for you. Why not consider upgrading your honeymoon plans with the extra saving?
3) Avoid a Wedding Clash
Getting invited to two weddings on the same day can be awkward and we’ve all been there. We’re still seeing the effects of the COVID backlog so it’s likely your friends will be eyeing up the same summer weekend dates. Be unique, get married on a weekday and the chances are no one you know will have the same date as you.
4) Get Married on a Special Date
If you’re looking to get married exactly a year after you got engaged, that date might fall on a weekday. In reality, there’s nothing stopping you from snapping up that special date.

5) It’s Cheaper for Guests Too!
If you’ve got guests coming from afar, they can benefit from reduced travel and accommodation rates. For example, hotels and train tickets are typically cheaper on weekdays, making your day more affordable.
